Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born on 7th July 1981 in Ranchi, Bihar, India. He was brought up with his two siblings in the village. After some time, his parents moved to Ranchi. Dhoni’s mentors in cricket players are Adam Gilchrist and Sachin Tendulkar.

Dhoni did his primary and secondary education at DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali. When he was just a student, he was also excellent in sports like badminton, soccer, and cricket. When he was a child, he did so many works to survive; he also worked at a railway station in Kharagpur.

When he played cricket at the amateur level in the 90s, Dhoni made his awards like the Ranji Trophy debut for Bihar in the 1999-2000 season when he was just 18 years old.

He started playing for the Jharkhand cricket team at the state level. After his best performance in the 2003-2004 season, Dhoni was picked up for the India A squad, touring Zimbabwe and Kenya. And then, he was selected for the Indian ODI team.

In the starting phase, he struggled so much for the Indian ODI team; he experienced much competition from established wicketkeepers like Rahul Dravid, Parthiv Patel, and Dinesh Karthik.

He proved his worth in the series again against Pakistan. He scored 148 off only 123 deliveries. After this performance, he established himself as one of India’s top wicketkeepers.
In 2007, India was very disappointed after crashing out of the World Cup with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

In 2011, India won the ICC Cricket World Cup because of Dhoni. And then, India reached the quarter-finals in the 2015 World Cup because they were unable to defend their title.

In 2017, Dhoni became the captain of the Indian national team, but he continued to play in the squad.

Suddenly in 2020, he retired from international cricket.

MS Dhoni met Sakshi Singh Rawat in Kolkata in the hotel where he stayed for his match. Dhoni first time met Sakshi when a game happened against Pakistan.

According to the news, Dhoni and Sakshi have known each other since childhood. Even they studied in the same school. But after a few years, Sakshi shifted to Dehradun with her family, so they lost touch with each other.

But destiny was always being together. After several years, they met again. They both started liking each other. As we know, Dhoni is an absolute family man.

On 4th July 2010, they did his wedding. After five years of marriage, Dhoni and Sakshi have blessed with a beautiful angel girl on 6th February 2015. Dhoni’s daughter’s name is Ziva Dhoni.
